Set in a quiet residential area of Bijilo and fully equipped to perfect your stay in The Gambia, Bougainvillea House comprises of two individual bungalows with two double rooms (each bungalow sleeps up to 4 guests).

Pool access
What would a holiday home be without it? Our pool is only shared among two bungalows, guaranteeing relaxation, space and privacy!
Cosy bedrooms
Each bungalow features two bedrooms with double-beds, fitted with an AC and ceiling fan, as well as an ensuite bathroom. The perfect retreat after an adventure-packed day. Bed linen and towels are included.
Fully equipped kitchen
Everything you need for a grand cooking session. Also microwave, electric kettle, toaster, and washing machine. There is also a water dispenser to save you buying bottled water!
Living room with flat-screen smart TV and satellite channels
Because sometimes all you want is a quiet evening at home with a good movie.
Bathroom with bathtub
While each bedroom has an ensuite, a third bathroom fitted with a bathtub allows for extra comfort.
Cleaning service
Three times weekly cleaning service for basic cleaning of floors and bathrooms, change of towels twice weekly and change of bed linen once a week is included in our pricing.
WiFi connection
WiFi is included in the pricing.
Safe
Each bungalow provides a safe for you to keep your valuables in.
In-compound car park
A parking space inside the compound offers safe parking for up to two vehicles.
Electricity backup
The bungalows are equipped with chargeable appliances (lights, fans, power bank for Wi-Fi router). However, in case of longer power outages, our generator can provide backup electricity. Each bungalow is fitted with electricity meters for both generator and national grid electricity, so you only pay for your own consumption. National grid consumption is charged at D 14 / kWh and generator consumption at D 80 / kWh.
Borehole
An in-compound borehole guarantees constant clean water supply.
Caretaker
Our on-site caretaker ensures security and maintenance of the compound.
Your Hosts
Hi! We are Anna and Verena, mother and daughter, and will be your hosts during your stay at the Bougainvillea House! We live in Kololi, which is only a 10-minute drive away, in case we are needed at the Bougainvillea House. We’ve been living in The Gambia for many years, so do not hesitate to ask us for any tips or recommendations. We hope to welcome you soon!
